Sad News
Unfortunately, my father Augustus has died today. All of Rome may be mourning, but none are as devastated as me. Now, Tiberias will become emperor and I have no idea how he will treat me, but I'm guessing not very well. Now Romans, comment and tell me how you will mourn or have mourned great Augustus' death. May he now be united with the gods.

My Favorite Quote
Love conquers all
- Virgil
I started thinking about this quote today. I deserved to be on that island for 5 years, maybe even more than that. If my father hadn't loved me so much that he let me come back here, I would still be stuck on that desolate island. No matter the amount of material things I have, none of them make up for how bad I feel that I made him mad at me. I wish he would forgive me completely.
Roman Fashion!
Salve friends! Since I've been back on the mainland, I've had a lot to catch up on! And in addition to that I am the emperor's daughter, so I can't be seen in last year's fashions (much less those from five years ago). So this post will be dedicated to Rome's current fashions!
How I wear it:
The stola- every woman in Rome should own one of these! It is a long flowing tunic often worn with a woolen mantle called the palla. The positioning of everything is often confusing for girls who don't have attendants like I do to help them put it on! I like to wear mine layered (a long sleeve under a baggier short sleeve).
I like to personalize my outfits by dyeing them bright colors or adorning the fabric with expensive pins and broaches. The dyes are made of a purple shellfish that left a distinct odor- often called the smell of money!
Hairstyle:
In my opinion, hair is almost as important a clothing! Some of my friends dye their hair a golden red color or put in false hair pieces, but I take pride in my natural hair. I like to wear it down with spiral ringlets and jeweled hairpins!
Accessories:
I think accessories are the best part of an outfit! I have about every kind of jewel and gem you can imagine! From friendship rings, necklaces, anklets, brooches, and earrings to even a solid gold hairnet!
Well thats all for now! Hope you enjoyed reading about Roman fashion.

Im Back!
Wow is five years a long time to be in exile! If you didn't figure out from reading my biography I was sent in to exile by my father. I had to stay on a desolate and isolated island that was only about two kilometers! I'm so happy to be back! Im really enjoying being around people again but it is not all "forgive and forget" with my father. He has confined me to the city of Rhegium and has given explicit instructions for me NOT to be buried in the masoleum of Augustus. At least it is better than that island!
